Field Adventures

June 30th Fossil’s of Lake Idaho
Participants will have the opportunity to hike, perspire, study and collect varied types of fauna and flora remains that previously lived in post-Flood Lake Idaho. Sediments deposited by Lake Idaho make up much of southwest Idaho. This will be a long day of traveling back-roads to view exciting locations of fossilliferous geologic layers.

August 18-19: 'Rockin In The Stars' at Bruneau Dunes State Park located 18 miles SW of Mountain Home ID. It is the site of North America’s highest sand dune and has a wonderful collection of telescopes for viewing the heavens. Breath-taking astronomy and geology will be the focus of presentations and study. Astronomy & Geology at Bruneau Sand Dunes will be taught by Diego Rodriguez & Brent Carter.
